Gabon Ebony: Known for its fast attack and musical decay, Gabon Ebony provides a tighter and more forceful bass with improved timing. This wood tightens up the soundstage while simultaneously increasing its span and depth.
Introducing The London Decca Record Weights
London Decca has partnered with Massive Audio Designs to create our high-performance record weights, handcrafted in two distinctive tonewoods—Gabon Ebony and Rosewood. Each wood brings its own unique sonic character to the listening experience.
Gabon Ebony
Known for its fast attack and natural musical decay, Gabon Ebony delivers tighter, more authoritative bass with improved timing and definition. It creates a more focused soundstage while enhancing its overall width and depth.
With properties of instrumental unification, rosewood is likely one of the finest tonewoods available. With this weight, cymbals have a polite crash, strings bend with honest clarity, bass impact is heightened, and musician placement and imaging are significantly enhanced. Rosewood does everything correctly.
Rosewood
Prized as one of the finest musical tonewoods, Rosewood brings a natural sense of cohesion and balance to the listening experience. Cymbals are rendered with controlled clarity, strings with natural definition, and bass with greater impact. Instrument placement and imaging are enhanced, creating a beautifully integrated and musically engaging soundstage.

Because these are created in partnership with Massive Audio Designs, I wouldn't say every London Decca product is individually hand-built here. I'd use:
Each London Decca Record Weight is carefully crafted, inspected, and prepared for shipment. Due to the handcrafted nature of the materials, natural variations in wood grain, color, and character may occur, making each record weight unique.
All sales are final. London Decca does not accept returns, refunds, cancellations, or exchanges once an order has been placed.
